Thank you for your financial support in keeping Oregon House District 53 conservative and Republican. The campaign needs some large contributions and thousands of small ones. Just like your individual vote, every dollar you invest matters.

HD53 has been historically a reliably Republican seat, held for years by Gene Whisnant and now by Jack Zika. In 2021 HD53 was redistricted by the Democrat supermajority. Because of how the lines were drawn, there are more Non-Affiliated Voters than Democrats, and more Democrats than Republicans in the new district, which encompasses Northern Bend, Tumalo, Southern Redmond, Sisters and Black Butte. Representative Zika is not running in 2022. He asked me to run and immediately endorsed me. Now that the primary is over, I am the official Republican candidate for HD53, which, regardless of voter ratios, is an awesome district!

We anticipate an enormous amount of union and special interest money will flood into the HD53 race to support the Democrat candidate, in a full court press to take all of Central Oregon in an extreme left direction. If they succeed, Central Oregon will simply become a political, cultural and economic suburb of Salem and Portland. We can’t let that happen. That’s why I’m running. Central Oregon needs autonomy, local control and a voice in Salem. I can be that voice.

Your investment primarily goes to three things:

  • Campaign Support Staff Salaries (I am not paid by the campaign or by your contributions. People are often surprised to discover that the salary of an elected Oregon State Representative is only $32,839/year. It's safe to say that no one serves in Oregon politics for the money.)
  • Advertising - Social Media, Print, Mail, TV and Radio to get our message out to Republicans and moderate Democrats and Non-Affiliated/Independent Voters. It takes about 7-10 impressions on a voter to have impact. This costs a lot.
  • Printing and Signage - we will need signs everywhere and they are expensive

Your investment in the campaign helps us get the message of practical homeless solutions, public safety, lower taxes, budgetary responsibility, reduced government overreach and regulations, small business protection, educational excellence and natural resource stewardship out to Central Oregon voters.

I’m the common-sense business candidate and I'm confident the vast majority of voters (regardless of party) are tired of politics as usual and want to see common sense, responsiveness and balance return to Oregon government. I just need to be able to fund getting our campaign message out to the 55,000 registered voters in the new district.

You can send a check of any size (it all matters) to:

Michael Sipe For State Representative
1001 SW Disk Drive Suite 101
Bend, OR 97702

(This is a dedicated campaign account and all contributions are fully accounted for with the State of Oregon.)

Or you can contribute to the campaign online below. Either way, your contributions will be fully accounted for and properly reported by a third party campaign finance agency. Your investment will compound with that of others to produce a return for our region far in excess of the amount you contribute.
